Running a TTRPG Campaign with Amsel Suite: From Prep to Play

Planning your next tabletop role-playing campaign with Amsel Suite? Whether your sessions are online or in person, Amsel Suite adapts to all your needs.
Discover how to prepare your campaign and launch your first session with your players using our suite of tools.
Laying the Foundations of Your Campaign
To start organizing your TTRPG campaign with Amsel Suite, begin by defining the genre and narrative intent of your world, as well as the tone you’ll use with your players. This helps set the atmosphere for your sessions.
To build your world, we recommend starting with Lore. Our worldbuilding software lets you create and organize all the key elements of your universe: cities, societies, factions, and more.
Structuring Your Campaign with Tome
Once your world is well-developed, you can move on to structuring your campaign.
Our storytelling software, Tome, is designed to help you create story arcs, chapters, and scenes.
Whether your campaign is linear or non-linear, Tome helps you organize your narrative. You can also use layout tools like choices, roles, frames, separators, and collapsible lists to enhance your storytelling.
Bringing Worldbuilding into Your Narrative
Did you know our tools are interconnected? While each software can be used independently, we’ve built a system that allows you to link them together.
This feature lets you tag Lore pages directly within your Tome scenes.
It’s especially useful if you want to provide additional context to your players without cluttering your campaign content.
To link Lore and Tome, simply tag the relevant Lore page using an “@”. Clicking the tag will open the Lore page instantly, giving you access to all the information you need.
Running Your First Game Session
Ready to launch your first session with your players? Open Tome and start your campaign!
To help track player progress, we recommend using notes, located on the right side of the Tome interface.
Roles are also a great way to monitor player actions and their impact on the story. This allows you to adjust the scenario in real time—especially useful for non-linear campaigns.
Planning Your Next Session
After wrapping up your session, it’s important to plan the next one quickly to keep the momentum going.
If you’ve taken notes using the dedicated tool, you can easily drag and drop them into the relevant scenes.
Don’t hesitate to ask your players for feedback on the first session—it’ll help you improve future ones.
With Lore and Tome, your campaign is not only well-organized but also flexible and easy to adapt to your evolving needs.
